Our vision is that the youth would know Jesus as more than just their Savior, but that each individual would know Him as Lord over every single detail and aspect of their lives. Our desire is that they would know that God has orchestrated a plan and a purpose for each of them. We hope the youth would understand that the call of God isn’t something they need to wait until adulthood to experience. Where God has them in this world, He desires to use them as the very instruments to turn this upside-down world right side up.
We understand that this vision can only come into fruition through the teaching of the word of God and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. As a ministry, we seek to challenge the kids with messages that would bring them into the deep waters. We are not primarily preparing the kids to be able to navigate through their high school years, but we pray that each child would be prepared for eternity.
In our services, we will not spend our time playing games or doing icebreakers. Our youth services will be closely modeled after our services in the main sanctuary with Pastor Raul. We will simply spend time worshipping God, not just to prepare our hearts for studying His word, but more so because this is the very reason that we were created. After worship, we will systematically study through the Word of God, line upon line, precept upon precept. If we stray from this, the youth we’ve been given charge over will also stray.
In the few short years that we have the students in our class, our prayer is that they would learn truths about Jesus that would equip them for a lifetime of service unto the Lord.
